Euroflax Sport Weight linen is the thickest yarn in the Euroflax line. It’s the most commonly used weight for knitters and crocheters. This yarn is classified as a 14/4 lea and has about 1300 yards per pound. A Sport Weight yarn is also known as a “Fine” and carries the symbol with the “2”.
Knitting
There are many knitting patterns available using this yarn including skirts, tops, sweaters, dresses and market bags. There are even some gorgeous knitted curtain patterns!
Knitting Gauge: 2.75-3.5mm needles (2-4 US), 6 stitches per inch.
Many patterns call for larger needle sizes for lacy or loose knits.
Crochet
Different hook sizes are specified depending on the pattern. Many call for a 3.75 mm (US F/5) hook.
Pullovers, cardigans and market bags are favorites for crochet!
